Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou was born in Beaumont in the French city of Puy-de Domme on August 9 1976 the eldest among four kids. Her parents a dental surgeon and a teacher recognised and backed her love for acting and theatre at an early age, which overcame her initial ambition to become a primatologist due to her love of monkeys. A quick and successful start to success as well as a swift growth in popularity marked her as a young actor. Following her studies in 1998 she participated in a French talent-scouting TV programme Jeunes Premiers which was sponsored by Canal+ and won Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors prior to launching the journey to become an actor. Tautou was born into an Catholic family and attended religious services, despite having attended school in school at the Institut Catholique de Paris. She has pursued a modeling career in addition to her acting work and is the model for L'Oreal Mont Blanc and Chanel frequently referred to as the Chanel Muse. Additionally, she is a keen photographic passion and has recently exhibited her work for the Arles Festival, titled Superficial. She focuses her photography on celebrity, fame and the media that scrutinised her after her fame-making debut with Amelie. Also, she has numerous photographs of her self. Audrey Tautou became a star after her international fame was established with her role debut as Amelie Poulain in the film Le Fabuleux Destination d'Amelie. Amelie is undoubtedly a huge box office smash internationally and has been lauded at numerous award festivals around the globe. Amelie is the highest-grossing French language movie across the US. Following this success Tautou starred in many film productions ranging including British dramas such as Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things to Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Long Sunday de fiancailles, and then he moved into Hollywood with Ron Howard's direction of The Da Vinci Code, a Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code alongside Tom Hanks.
