Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12th, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej [now Onesti(born November 12, 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej, now One Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast to be awarded a perfect score of 10 in the Olympic competition. Bela Karalyi was introduced to Comaneci when she was six. Later, she would become Romania's gymnastics coach. First competing in the national junior championships in Romania in the year 1969, she finished 13th. And in 1970, won. The first time she competed in an international event in an Olympic-style junior preolympic competition for countries in the Communist bloc, she won 3 gold medals. And in 1973 and 1975, she won crowned all-around Junior Champion. She took home four gold medals and one silver medals in her senior debut international competition that took place in 1975. This was the first time she had competed as an adult. She won the American Cup in New York City in 1976 and became the first female to do a backward double salto as an unmounting from uneven parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. She started her career in the entertainment industry in her teens in which she was a part of a figure skating duo with her sister Nina Wayne for the travelling entertainment program Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol was a part of the entertainment industry as a teenager. At the age of a girl she started her career as a figure skating performer with Nina Wayne in the travelling entertainment program Ice Capades. The show featured dramatic ice skating shows.
