Julia Fiona Roberts, born October 28, 1967 on the 28th of October, 1967 in Atlanta with Betty Lou Bredemus & Walter Grady Roberts. Her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts, a farmer, was the first Roberts to arrive in Atlanta. The Robertses' father was interested in the theatre at a young time. While a student of Emory University, he performed in a variety of productions in Atlanta. He joined the Air Force, and was stationed at Biloxi in Mississippi, he appeared in an production along with Betty Lou Bredemus. In 1955, the couple got married and in 1956 their child Eric Anthony was born. Walter and wife resigned from the military in 1957, when they enrolled Walter in Tulane University. In 1960, the couple moved from Louisiana to Decatur Georgia where Walter began working with Atlanta's Academy Theater and the Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. The year 1964 was when Walter together with Betty Lou began production on a local children's Saturday morning television show called Bum Bum and His Buddies that they funded themselves. In 1964, Walter and Betty Lou established their own organization called the Actors and Writers Workshop. The program ran for about six years. They also had Lelisa Billingsley (also called Lisa) as well as Julia (also known as Julie) at the time.
